Zeus Neurophysiology System![]()
Zeus is a high-performance, scalable neural data acquisition (DAQ) system for in vivo, extracellular neurophysiology using up to 512 recording electrodes. Optional plug-in modules provide an additional 64 electrode channels for programmable recording & stimulation applications; built-in artifact-rejection circuitry ensure fast recovery of recording channels after stimulation. Zeus's user-friendly software and plug & play hardware provide scientists and engineers with a sophisticated yet easy-to-use neurophysiology system. The Zeus Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Software acquires, processes, and analyzes physiological signals (e.g., spikes, field potentials, EMG) together with experimental events from third-party equipment including behavior, electrical & optical stimulation (optogenetics), and video systems. Zeus is a cost-effective solution even for high-channel configurations. Price, performance and functionality make it the preferred choice by investigators in academia, industry, and research institutes around the world.

Ultimate Headstages
Zeus's digital headstages provide a miniature, featherweight high-fidelity link to electrodes implanted in in vivo brain preparations for electrophysiology studies. The onboard analog filters and digital circuitry combined with LVDS (low voltage, differential signaling) cable transmission ensure a stable, extremely-high, signal-to-noise link to the brain. The multiplexed output allows just a few wires to carry signals from 100’s of electrodes making it ideally suited for recording from freely-behaving animals as small as song birds and baby mice. Expensive and noisy motorized commutators are no longer required. The headstage is compatible with individual microelectrodes, microwire & microelectrode arrays, silicon probes, and ECoG/iEEG grids.
Note: Our headstages are compatible with wireless (untethered) devices from TBSI (a division of Harvard Bioscience) and can be used as plug & play (drop in) replacements for the larger headstages in DAQ systems provided by Open Ephys and Intan Technologies.

Commutators: Electrical, Optical & Fluid Channels
Commutators are critical for minimizing mechanical forces on animals and preventing damage to electrical, optical and fluid channels during freely-behaving animal experiments. We offer a variety of commutators with electrical, optical, and fluid channels. We also build noise-immune interfaces to any 3rd-party commutator.
